Using Federal VA Educational Benefits at CSUMB
New CSUMB students - complete these steps now:

- Complete the online Request to Initiate Benefits at CSUMB Form
- Submit a copy of your VA Certificate of Eligibility letter to our office by email or Fax 831-582-5323.
- For active military or veterans: submit a copy of your DD214 or most recent orders to our office by email or Fax 831-582-5323 to confirm military service. Please redact your social security number.
Current and New CSUMB Students - complete each semester after you are enrolled in courses:
4. Once you have registered for classes, request official VA Benefit Certification by completing the Veteran Benefits process on the OASIS Student Center drop down menu. Here are the instructions.
VA Benefit users that need to request authorization for VA certification of courses taken concurrently at another institution should submit this form prior to enrollment at the other school.
