Immunizations
Immunization requirements and record submission instructions are different for students enrolled Fall 2023 or after than for those enrolled Spring 2023 or before. Please read the sections below for additional information.
CSUMB will enforce the updates to CSU Executive Order 803 beginning in Fall 2023.

Complio is the platform used by Cal State Monterey Bay to help track student immunization requirements. All students will receive emails from both Complio complio@americandatabank.com and immunizations@csumb.edu.

As soon as students receive the email from Complio, they should click on the url provided to activate their account and follow directions on uploading their immunization records.

All new, incoming students are required to comply with the Student Immunization requirement.

The immunization requirement must be completed no later than 30-days prior to the first day of classes.

All students must log into Complio using their Otter ID and password to upload and complete the necessary documents.

Failure to submit required immunization records will result in an Enrollment Hold preventing the student from enrolling in classes until the immunization documentation is uploaded through Complio.
About Hepatitis B: Pursuant to Section 120390.5 of the Health and Safety Code, all first-time enrollees who are 18 years of age or younger must present proof of immunization against the Hepatitis B virus. The entire Hepatitis B, 3-shot series must be completed prior to the start of the first semester.
- If you cannot verify immunity to Hepatitis B through an immunization record, you will need to complete the necessary blood tests to determine immunity or receive the required vaccines from a physician or clinic of your choice. The Campus Health Center also provides these services for a fee.

The State of California and CSUMB require students to provide proof of immunization to maintain enrollment status.
Measles and Rubella: All students born after January 1, 1957, are required to provide a record showing proof of immunization against Measles and Rubella prior to enrolling in the second semester of coursework.
Hepatitis B: Pursuant to Section 120390.5 of the Health and Safety Code, all first-time enrollees who are 18 years of age or younger at the time of enrollment must also present proof of immunization against Hepatitis B. The entire Hepatitis B, 3-shot series must be completed prior to enrolling in your second semester.

Immunization records or documents showing proof of immunity are to be submitted through the OnBase proof of immunization form at the button below. Please only use the OnBase link to submit records if you were enrolled Spring 2023 or before.
